Automatically inserting unwanted character in HTML

When editing HTML files Twistpad automatically adds a ">" character whenever I type "<". I can't seem to adapt to this in a way that doesn't interrupt the flow of my typing, and I can't find a way to disable it either - I have auto-complete and auto-correct both completely disabled. Is there some way to stop this from happening?

Hi Daniel,

Just uncheck "Smart Backets" in the Preferences\Editor

Thanks,
