First off, this is a great text editor, I really like it. The one thing I think it's missing is a block or column select mode. Are their any plans to put in a block or column select mode in the future? Am I an imbecile and missed it in the menus?

Hi,

Thanks for your comments.

Block selection is available by pressing ALT and selecting with the mouse, is that what you mean?

Thanks,

That was EXACTLY what I mean. Great editor, and most certainly a buy IMO. BTW, if you track these sort of things, I found out about Twistpad on the Betanews.com FileForum so thanks for posting it there.

I'm off to the payment page :) Thanks again!

Block selection works. However, "block" pasting doesn't work the way I expect it do (or how Textpad does it).

For example, I have the following text:

a = 123
b = 456
c
d

If I do a block select for
= 123
= 456

and past to the right of c, I expect the following result (Textpad style):
a = 123
b = 456
c= 123
d= 456

Twistpad give me the following:
a = 123
b = 456
c = 123
= 456

d

In other words, it does not do a "block" pasting.

No, Twistpad pastes block text as "Twistpad does it" ;-)

I liked your ideia, and makes sense, however there is no intention whatsoever of making Twistpad a clone of Textpad, so please don't expect it to gain every Textpad feature and work like Textpad, there would be no point in making it available if it is a copy of Textpad.

Anyway an enhanced block pasting as described will be considered for future versions.
