 Multi-monitor Bug

Just a small bug I noticed in the 0.20 version, not tried the earlier ones.
I use a dual monitor system and unless I disable the secondary monitor its not possible to drag DeskTask across the screen. Disable it and it works fine and stays in position afterwards.

Nothing major but thought I'd let you know :)

Never played with a dual monitor system, so I did not even thought on this. Maybe it has something to do with "snap to desktop edges" option , did you try to disable it and drag across the screen? (or press CTRL while dragging, this disables the snap option temporarily.

I'm having the same issue, however it is creating a opaque block on my secondary monitor at start up. If I restore position, it will show fine on the primary, but like the comment above, I can not move it to the correct position. This is a wonderful program and would love to see it support the growing multi-monitor population and the multi-monitor population support you!

I have a triple monitor set up and I get a black opaque block on the third monitor, I've moved to each of the other two with no luck. I've tried all the different scenarios in the options area and I still only get a black opaque block. Every time I move it, I get a new calendar, which I'm guessing is because I must be clicking on the calendar to open, but since it's a black box, I have no idea what's really under there. <grin>

Any ideas?

Well, I want to support the Multi-Monitor community, however, as I told Thorburn, I don't have access to a multi-Monitor scenario *at the moment*.
I'm planning however to see if I can get a second monitor to test DeskTask in a multi-monitor environment.

Just an update. I just downloaded the latest version and now the "black box" is transparent, so I guess we are making progress. <grin>

I'll check back again soon.

That is good, but nothing was done or tested regarding a multi-monitor setup, I still have plans to test it under that scenario.

Thanks

One more addition to this thread :) Just saw the 0.58 on BetaNews and thought I'd give it a whirl...I love it by the way!

I use four LCDs at work (yes, four) LOL and I am having the same issues...I cannot move it from the top left corner in my primary monitor...I would love to be able to drag it to the bottom right above the task bar, but cannot move at all :)

Watching for updates, and thanks for an awesome little applet!

Any news on how to get this to work? I still can't see anything, yet it must be there because if I click in the right place, the calendar pops up.

Any ideas to try?

Sorry, still no news to correct the multi-monitor issue.

can you explain what it means when you click the calendar pops up? what calendar? Outlook?
