 Installation and reinstallation problems

I have recently found Meminfo and first of all it ran well on XP Pro, showing the memory usage in the system tray. But then, for no apparent reason, the system tray info disappeared. So I tried to reinstall. The installer said that there was an existing copy running and would I remove it before reinstalling. This proved to be difficult but eventually I succeeded by wiping the program from the disk, using Winhex. The install then worked and the system tray indicator worked - but only for a few minutes and then it vanished again.

Looking through the forum suggests that I have missed something here as there are posts on the forum with screenshots of "Settings" which I have never seen and do not seem able to get to.

Has anybody had any similar experience or any suggestions to make?

Hi,

After reading your explanation I think the problem is windows XP hiding the MemInfo icon.

Do this steps:
Right Click the Taskbar and select Properties.
Click the Customize button in the notification area box.
make sure MemInfo is set to always show like in the screen below:

Press OK to close both Dialog windows.

To access MemInfo settings simply right-click in the graph and select Settings in the menu.

Let me know if it worked.
