On the display tab when you pick a color for the transparent color, and then click on apply. The color is shown on the screen for a short time and then goes away. Another thing the color is always the last color that was selected, and not the one that I was selecting this time. Transparency level is set to solid. The only thing that is on the screen is the info. for outlook which I want, but would like to have some background color too.

Hi,

DeskTask does not support a background color, the fact that you can set a background color is to minimize the impact upon drawing with Clear Type, which has been resolved in DeskTask 1.1 Beta 2
