I have RC6 installed and when I add a new task it does not show up on DeskTask. But, if I delete an old task it is still taken off DeskTask.

Thanks

Hi,

Thanks, this has already been reported, but can you tell me the size and name of the font you use when this problem happened?

Thanks ,

I have experienced the same problem. Using Ariel 10. It seems to show some of the tasks that are entered without a date but not all. The undated tasks all seem to be created the same but not all appear linsted in DeskTask.

See the Task Options, if you have checked "Show today's (and older) tasks only" make sure "include tasks with no due date" is checked.

Andre,

I just checked again to be sure that "include tasks with no due date" is checked. In fact I just added a new task without any dates, performed a refresh, and it did not appear in the task listing on my desktop even though it is listed correctly in Outlook.

I sure like the program. It fills a void for a Calendar program when I switched to using Thunderbird. I really like the calendar features in Outlook and used them a lot.

I cannot reproduce this as is, since you say it's only tasks with no date set.
how many tasks do you have with date and without date?

Andre,

Outlook:
Today or Previous dates - 4
No dates - 6

DeskTask:
Today or Previous dates - 4
No dates - 5

Thanks,

Andre,

I might be useful information to note that I am using Outlook 2000 SP-3. Maybe that has some bearing in this issue.

Hi,

Recreated your scenario, Arial 10, with the same ammount of tasks and all tasks are displayed. So I cannot reproduce this.

I'm using Outlook 2003, but I'm almost certain that the problem is not due to Outlook 2000

Have you checked if categories are interfering in the display?

Andre,

I played around with this awhile today and here is what is happening. DeskTask does not list the last task entered in outlook when there are no dates specified. Adding another task with unspecified date will allow the previously unlisted task to appear in the DeskTask listing. I don't understand what is happening either but I see a pattern. I guess if I enter one blank task in Outlook it will move the tasks to DeskTask.

I have found this a problem in the latest version, it will only show the tasks which the due date has past.

EG.

01/06/2006 - test (shows up)
18/06/2006 - prom (doesnt show up)

Windows Outlook 2003.

Rich.

dtholen:
In the meantime I found a bug when Priority icons are enabled in the task list, but not in time for RC7.

Do you have "Show priority icons" checked? if so can you uncheck to see if this still happens?

Interestingly, I had quit using priority icons and everything seems to be working normally. Thanks for looking at this.
