I have created a tool to execute a Perl script and capture the output. However, when I run the tool the output window just displays squares.

Thanks

Hi,

Can you give more details on what settings did you use on the tool and what tool you used so we can test?

Thanks,

I'm using ActiveState Perl 5.8.8.

Under the tool settings I have
Description: Perl
Application: C:\Perl\bin\perl.exe
Parameters: {Filename} (I've also tried {Single Filename})
Shortcut: None
Capture output and Save active are both checked.

The script is just two lines:

print "Hello World\n";
exit;
