Hi,

It's possible, but there are two limitations:
a) You have to had it manually to the settings file
and
b) it has to be a bitmap (BMP) file

for a) open the twistpad.settings file (in Windows 7 is located at "C:\Users\<your user>\AppData\Roaming\Carthago\Twistpad\Twistpad.settings" and add the following line in the Editor section:
[Editor]
EditorBkBitmap=C:\temp\test.bmp

If your background file isn't in BMP format use image editor like paint to convert it.

Let me know if this helped.

I might had an option in the interface for the background image and also support other popular image formats in the next version

I advise you to use XnView. ;)

Yes, it worked. I was very surprised, because the long file path contains blanks and Cyrillic characters. :)

I think the best thing to do is in the program will be initially written something like

EditorBkBitmap=texture.bmp

Obviously, if the path is not specified, then it should look where Twistpad.settings is.

I do not think it's necessary. Picture have to adjust to these needs (resize, crop), so why not convert at the same time? Much more important is to make sure that it was possible to make a static image as wallpaper on your desktop. Now the picture is moved, and I have to look for such that tiles the plane.

Notice how the picture looks between line 450 and 451.
