As a fan of RSS news, to stay up to date particularly with site updates or other people blogs, I was satisfied with Firefox Live bookmarks, however, more and more sources are now offering RSS feeds, even Google groups! (who needs newsgroups readers anymore?) and live bookmarks are getting under my needs.

I was a bit disappointed with the lack of good RSS readers, some look good, but at this point I prefer to avoid .net bloated applications, so I'm waiting to purchase FeedDemon 2.0 which looks very good!

Following some comments regarding the icon of DeskTask I decided to do a new one, which will be available in DeskTask 1.0 RC2 coming out soon.

With a more modern look, the Icon is basically a "check list", thus blending with the concept I wanted for DeskTask originally.

I found this Blog (Coding Error) extremely interesting, although I don't do .net development, it certainly contains interesting stuff, worth taking a look!

I found it flattering the nice comments and good ranking both MemInfo and DeskTask have at BetaNews.



MemInfo is in several Sites, but DeskTask, who is still in RC state, is only at BetaNews. some comments even provided feedback for improvements.

I usually go there when in need of some software, and is a fact that most users are likely to give higher rankings to free and open source Software.

Anyway, being free and fast, BetaNews is one of the best ways to distribute Software
